Given the profitable lending business model and an underserved market, Marco is looking to scale rapidly. This role will have high impact potential within the Marco team.

We are seeking an Accounting amp; Treasury Specialist to join our team in Montevideo. This is a temporary position to help with maternity coverage for our current Director FPamp;A. At this time we expect that the assignment will last approximately 8 months, until December 31, 2023 with potential to continue full-time after the expiration of the term.

As an Accounting amp; Treasury Specialist you will have responsibility for the day-to-day accounting and treasury activities of our United States amp; Uruguayan entities. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Accounting amp; Payments, working with ownership in English (oral and written).

• Lead the month-end close process, including close of sub-ledgers, journal entries input, accruals, journals and balance sheet reconciliations and the preparation and review of management reports for our US amp; UY entities
• Responsible for daily bank account management (bank relationship, follow daily accounts balances and requests)
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure punctual payments. Manage and record all Cash In/Out transactions in our operations and accounting system
• Manage daily accounting activities including, but not limited to, cash, accounts payable, accruals, trust accounting and Tamp;E
• Monthly Reconciliation of Trial Balance accounts in compliance with audits
• Build Monthly Reporting and KPIs Dashboard, Actuals vs Budget
• Continuously identify and develop solutions for process efficiency to improve operations and productivity

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance (Accounting or related field)
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in Accounting amp; Treasury is preferred
• Fluent English and Spanish
• Advanced Excel amp; financial modeling skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail with an ability to multi-task
• Proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a focus on process enhancement
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
